Dan Y.W. Chong, AIA LEED AP

Dan Chong is currently working on International development in the SE Asia region with Engineering Ministries International (EMI). For the 5 years prior to SE Asia, Dan served as a project leader and Deputy Director for EMI Canada.

Dan is also the founding principal of Blackletter Architecture in the U.S.A. He brings over 25 years of diverse architectural experience that spans numerous projects in the residential, institutional, cultural, hospitality, and ecclesiastics sector.

This website is a collection of some of Dan's favourite projects during his time as a designer and architect. It uses a more reflective interpretation of John Ruskin's 7 lamps of architecture as an organizational tool to try and explain some of the less tangible but important aspects of architecture like Life, Sacrifice, Truth, Power, Beauty, Memory and Obedience.
